About Catherine
Catherine A Mason is in love with the Montessori approach because it helps children to realize their truest self through creativity, independence, and curiosity. Catherine has always known she would be a teacher and has worked with children age 0-18 years old in music and dancing for over 15 years. She is a certified AMS Teacher (ages 0-3) and has been teaching in Montessori Infant and Toddler spaces since 2013. Catherine enjoys guiding adults through learning more about Montessori and Positive Discipline.
Catherine currently lives abroad in Shenzhen, China where she teaches at a Reggio- Play based school. She is currently exploring the links between Reggio and Montessori Philosophies.
Catherine Mason is the owner of Montessori Plus More, an Education Consulting Company specializing in Parent education, child development, and consulting specific to ages 6 and under.
It is her sincere hope that she can impart some wisdom in including children daily as active participants in the home.
